All for YouthQuest!

on August 19, 2017 - 11:37am

Here are the mere mortal swimmers that will join the AMAZING Jim "The Shark"Dreyer 2 weeks from today. Together, with Jim Dreyer leading (19 world records), we will swim from St. Ignace to Mackinac Island, Towing a 51' boat with our piano bike on board! Difficult issues require radical solutions, we're trying to do our part in Joybox Express' "Sprint 4 Flint", a benefit for YouthQuest of Flint.

Please consider being a part of the solution by making a donation to help us float our boat! Thanks to all!

Great Moments in JBE History: Entry 3

on July 30, 2014 - 3:50pm

As I mentioned when starting this series, episodes won’t necessarily be reported chronologically - this one is recent.

He called an ambulance, and away I went - 5 nights in the hospital with 6 broken ribs, a partially collapsed lung, and a knee requiring surgery - OUCH.

I agreed, and we parted ways, each promising to think about it further. I like to organize things sometimes, so I began to ask some of the other Ann Arbor area pianists if theyd all like to play together in a benefit concert sometime.

Great Moments in JBE History

on July 7, 2014 - 11:01am

Here’s the first installment in a series of reminiscences of momentous events in our project. They may not all be chronological, or presented in any rank that denotes their significance. Mostly, these will be the retelling so that those of you who are interested can learn more about the who, what, where and why of the JBE prior to our Mississippi River Road Ride. They’re also a great way for me to savor and share what we’ve accomplished before we confront our biggest challenge yet!

8 or 9 years ago I invited about 25 interesting and accomplished people to our home to make an announcement,
