Mr. B's Joy Boat Express in action

on August 30, 2017 - 1:14am

Towing the 51' boat with the piano bike on board from St Ignace to Mackinac Island.

Just off Mackinac Island, nearly seven hours after starting the swim at St. Ignace, divers jump overboard after hooking up to yellow tow rope.

Five swimmers pull in tandem against a strong current.  During most of the seven-hour swim, only three swimmers were in harness.

The last leg....pulling into British Landing on Mackinac Island, completing a four-mile, seven-hour endeavor towing the 17-ton, 52' Blue Water across the Straits of Mackinac, fundraising for the school kids of Flint, MI.

Despite nearly frozen hands, Mr. B performs aboard the "Blue Water" coming into the British Landing dock on the island.

Rolling the piano bike into The Grand Hotel - the last challenge of the day.

Mr. B, about to enjoy a well-earned beer and lunch with the swim team at the Gatehouse Restaurant (at the bottom of the Grand Hotel entrance drive.)
